Warehouseman/driver

We are looking for a hardworking and dynamic individual to join our warehouse team in Bedford. The successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure, be able to meet deadlines and targets and work well within a small experienced team.

Potential candidates must hold a full clean UK driving licence and forklift licence.

Job Purpose

To assist with the maintenance of the warehouse and efficient stocking of material and to complete deliveries of material to customers in a reliable and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in loading and unloading of own vehicles and customer/supplier vehicles

- Assemble orders for customers and requests for branches

- Operate saw to cut material for customer orders

- Ensure correct labelling and traceability of material

- Deliver and collect material to and from customers, suppliers and other branches

- Maintain drivers' daily log book of mileage

- Participate in annual stocktaking

Sales Executive

We now have an excellent opportunity for dynamic individuals to join the company as a Sales Executive in our Bedford and Halifax branches. This role involves developing new business and growing existing sales, with an emphasis on proactively identifying sales opportunities. It would suit a candidate who has experience of sales and a drive to engage with prospective customers.

Responsibilities:

- Actively participate in sales proactivity, including customer visits, under the guidance of the branch manager

- Develop new business and grow existing sales for the branch

- Deal with incoming enquiries to complete all aspects of the order process

- Work with internal resources to identify new business opportunities

- Provide regular feedback on sales performance and market trends

- Develop a thorough understanding of customer requirements on a business and technical level

Requirements:

- Experience of sales within the B2B environment, preferably within the metal stockholding industry

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to think strategically and proactively identify new opportunities

- A demonstrable record of success in developing new business

- Willingness to travel when required

The successful applicant will ideally have a background in selling copper and nickel alloys. A demonstrable track record of success within the B2B environment would be an advantage.
