Columbia Metals Strengthens Motorsport Ties

29 June 2015

Columbia Metals is to attend the Driving Technological Change 2015 conference at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire. The event takes place on Wednesday 1 July and will explore the latest technologies in the motorsport and automotive industries. Columbia Metals will be represented at the opening presentations and will take part in both the morning and afternoon knowledge-sharing seminars.

As a leading stockist of advanced performance non-ferrous metals, Columbia Metals is already well established in the motorsport industry. Two of its proprietary alloys, most notably COLSIBRO® and TROJAN, have become recognised as best in class for use in high performance racing engines.  COLSIBRO® has become established as the material of choice for highly stressed components in automotive and motorcycle engines. TROJAN has similar physical properties and exceptional tensile strength.

The Driving Technological Change conference will feature guest speakers from Cosworth, Williams F1, Prodrive, MAHLE, Racelogic, Zenos Cars, Google, Warwick Manufacturing Group and the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA). This year’s event takes place in the lead-up to the Formula One British Grand Prix.
