CW402J is a 10% nickel-containing alloy, sometimes described as nickel brass. It is the most commonly used grade of nickel silver rod. It is readily formed into complex shapes by hot stamping and also offers a good machinability. It has good corrosion and tarnish resistance and is frequently specified for many architectural applications where best use is made of its pleasing silvery gold colour and resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
