CZ112 (CW712R) is commonly referred to as naval brass due its corrosion resistance in seawater and other mildly aggressive environments. The alloy contains 62% copper and 37% zinc, with a 1% tin addition for improved corrosion resistance and a harder and stronger duplex structure to improve the mechanical properties. CZ112 (CW712R) has good strength levels combined with an excellent hot formability.
