Cutting

Each of our warehouses is equipped with bandsaws which allows us to billet material to customer requirements. Our facilities allow us to cut to a minimum thickness of 10mm and a maximum diameter of 250mm.

Testing and Processing

We have access to a number of subcontractors that allow us to offer speedy testing and added-value processing. We can have material certified to Lloyd’s Register (3.2) and DNV standards, and can provide services including but not limited to ultrasonic testing, heat treatment, surface grinding, sheet polishing and protecting, pickling, patination, dye penetrant testing and supplementary mechanical property testing such as Charpy impacts or hardness.

Logistics

Columbia Metals has a fleet of vehicles to ensure competitive delivery times to customers within the UK. We also have excellent working relationships with national and international couriers to ensure we can deliver worldwide.

Export

Columbia Metals has many years’ experience of supplying alloys to every continent of the world. Our export department uses air, sea and surface freight for deliveries of small consignments and large quantities alike. Our international customers enjoy high standards of packaging, documentation and quality assurance in addition to our excellent levels of customer service.

Technical Support

We offer a technical advisory and consultancy service for customers to assist with all aspects of material selection, fabrication and usage. Our in-house team of qualified metallurgists is always on hand to offer advice and technical support and ensure that the right material is used for the most demanding applications.

Quality Control

Columbia Metals operates a Quality Management System that complies with the requirements of AS9120 and ISO9001:2015 and a wide range of client companies, including BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce. All our material is sourced from high-quality manufacturers and is supplied with full batch traceability.
