Oil and gas components

When an end user in the oil and gas industry requires components produced to exacting standards alongside competitive lead times, Billet Precision is at the top of their list. As a manufacturer with over 30 years’ combined experience in research, development and engineering, the Wiltshire-based precision engineering company maintains a keen focus on material sourcing to fulfil customer requirements.

“We have seen a rise in demand for the machining of 17-4PH,” says Will Casey, one of the three directors at Billet Precision. “Being able to have a reliable source for this material is key to our high precision and fast turnaround business model.”

Billet Precision use 17-4PH in a variety of conditions including Condition A, H900 and H1150. This grade of stainless steel is predominantly used by the company to make components for the oil and gas industry.

“We needed fast turnaround on a few sizes of 17-4 Condition A,” elaborates Will. “With Columbia Metals’ efficient delivery lead times, pricing structure, and great customer service, we knew exactly who to call. To this day, it is a pleasure to deal with Natasha and discuss any upcoming material needs.”
