CZ132 is a dezincification resistant (DZR) brass containing small amounts of lead and arsenic. It was originally developed to provide good resistance to dezincification type corrosion which is experienced by normal hot working brasses.
In addition to good corrosion resistance, CZ132 offers good strength levels and is readily machined and hot forged. It is ideal for water fittings that are produced by hot stamping and machining.
CZ132 is offered by Columbia Metals under the trade name COLFIT DZR.
