17-4PH

17-4PH is a well-established precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel capable of achieving very high strength and hardness after a relatively simple heat treatment. It offers excellent corrosion resistance combined with a structured range of mechanical property levels depending on the precise heat treatment applied.

It is readily machined and fabricated in the softer tempers and can then be heat-treated to exceptional strength and dimensional stability. 17-4PH is widely used in the chemical, petrochemical, offshore, paper, food, and aerospace industries making best use of its outstanding corrosion resistance, wear resistance, strength and hardness.

Columbia Metals stocks 17-4PH in solution annealed Condition A.
